Brendan graduated from the University of Otago before joining McCaw Lewis in 1984.  He has been a Partner with the firm since 1991.

He specialises in dispute resolution on commercial matters and has a particular focus on contract and tort claims, property disputes, insolvency law and dispute resolution.

Brendan has a keen interest in alternative dispute resolution.  He is a Fellow of the Arbitrators' and Mediators' Institute (Mediation) and in 1999 completed a Diploma in Business Studies (Dispute Resolution) at Massey University.  Brendan is also an accredited mediator on the LEADR Panel of Mediators.  

Brendan has an interest in legal education.  He is a guest lecturer at the Waikato University Law School and for the Institute of Professional Legal Studies.  He has also presented papers at a number of conferences and seminars.
