Renika is originally from Taranaki and is of Ngāti Maniapoto descent. Renika has experience in advising clients on various aspects of Treaty Settlement Negotiations and has appeared for clients before the Waitangi Tribunal, Māori Land Court, District Court and High Court. Renika joined McCaw Lewis in July 2008 as a law clerk whilst completing her studies at the University of Waikato. Renika completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in New Zealand Studies, and a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours in October 2009 and was admitted to the Bar in June 2009. Renika is an active member of Te Hunga Roia Māori o Aotearoa, the Māori Law Society, and currently sits on the National Executive. In her spare time, Renika enjoys social sports including basketball, touch and netball. Renika is currently on maternity leave. |
