Sarah specialises in commercial matters, working with a range of business clients to achieve positive outcomes.
Sarah knows that people are important and makes it her priority to support clients by sharing her knowledge and building relationships. Having owned a business herself, she understands the needs of commercial clients and appreciates the need for practical and timely advice.
Prior to joining McCaw Lewis, Sarah worked in Criminal Law at the Criminal Cases Review Commission. She was part of a small establishment team before her position evolved into an investigation role on behalf of applicants who believed they had suffered a miscarriage of justice.
Sarah brings an abundance of life experience to McCaw Lewis. As well as owning her own business prior to entering the law, she spent three and a half years in central London as a photojournalist for the Daily Telegraph and throughout Europe.
Sarah completed her LLB with honours in four years at the University of Waikato. She is a goal setter and has always enjoyed a challenge, whether it’s running a marathon or competing in a boxing match – both of which she has done. Sarah’s current challenge is completing her Master of Laws, which she will finish in June 2022.
Sarah also has personal training qualification and enjoys exercising outside of work, spending time with family and friends and travelling. She periodically volunteers her time at her children’s schools, including through Parent Teacher Associations.
Sarah joined the McCaw Lewis whānau in 2021.
