Jessica has wide-ranging expertise in commercial law and believes in providing practical and accessible advice, making an effort to understand her clients’ values and priorities.
Jessica has experience across a broad range of commercial matters, including structuring and governance issues, sales and purchases of businesses and shares, commercial leasing and complex contractual matters. She has assisted a variety of clients, from small business owners and family trusts to complex multi-level organisations.
Although she works across a variety of commercial issues, Jessica specialises in Māori commercial work. She has assisted a range of Māori entities from whenua trusts to PSGEs, with matters including restructuring, governance issues, third party commercial joint ventures and contractual arrangements.
She also advises on private and charitable trusts and incorporated societies and has a particular interest in intellectual property law.
Jessica grew up on the North Shore of Auckland and spent time in London, before returning to the Waikato in 2018.
Jessica joined McCaw Lewis in 2018 and was appointed as a Senior Associate in April 2021.
