Carmen Mataira Promoted to Senior Solicitor

The Directors are excited to announce that Carmen Mataira has been promoted to Senior Solicitor.

Carmen joined the McCaw Lewis whānau in early 2021 as a Law Clerk, was admitted to the bar in July 2021 and then began her journey as a Solicitor.

Over the last few years at McCaw Lewis, Carmen has appeared in High Court, Māori Land Court, and Waitangi Tribunal and has also represented clients in negotiation meetings with Crown officials.  She connects with clients not only through her knowledge of the law but also te ao Māori.  Carmen is a treasured member of the Kahurangi Team.
