Katia is an Associate in our Commercial Team. She believes in providing practical solutions to clients and working collaboratively to achieve their business goals.

Katia assists clients with a variety of corporate and commercial matters, including commercial contracts, business sales and purchases, commercial property, finance, corporate structures/governance and shareholder and joint venture agreements. 

Her passion lies in working with Māori and assisting Māori, iwi and hapū clients in the Māori commercial space. She assists Māori business owners by providing tailored legal advice that promotes Māori values and aims to best support Māori businesses to thrive.

Katia is born and bred in the Waikato and completed her studies at Te Whare Wānanga o Waikato - The University of Waikato. It was an easy decision to start a family in Hamilton to be close to whānau. When she is not in the office, she enjoys staying active and spending time with her partner and sons.

Katia is a Trustee for the Ōpārau No.1 Block Trust and Angel Casts Charitable Trust.

Katia joined the McCaw Lewis whānau in 2020.
