Long Service Celebrated

Last week the McCaw Lewis whānau celebrated long-service milestones for Jerome Burgess, Carol Folkard and Zane Mora. In an ever-changing landscape of business and the law, we are grateful and privileged to have high-performing and dedicated staff who embody the values of McCaw Lewis: Manaakitanga, Kotahitanga and Whāia te iti Kahurangi.
Jerome is a Senior Associate and has been with McCaw Lewis for 10 years. His mahi is focused on Waitangi Tribunal district and Kaupapa inquiries, providing legal and strategic advice to hapū and iwi clients. He also advises on various employment and immigration matters for both employers and employees. Jerome is actively involved with the not-for-profit Waikato Pacific Business Network and is an Executive member of the Waikato Samoa Rugby Board.
Carol is a Personal Assistant and also started at the firm 10 years ago. She has had several roles in her time with the firm, and currently supports the Asset Planning Team and our Waitangi Tribunal Legal Aid services. Carol is also a certified counsellor and a Board member of the McCaw Lewis Foundation, whose mission is to provide resources to community organisations supporting Waikato youth.
Zane joined the whānau five years ago as a Law Clerk while studying at Te Piringa – Faculty of Law at the University of Waikato. He was appointed as an Associate in 2020. Zane has experience in a wide range of dispute resolution matters. His particular areas of interest include trust and estate disputes, relationship property disputes and shareholder remedies. Like Carol, Zane is on the Board of the McCaw Lewis Foundation.
We thank and applaud Jerome, Carol and Zane for their dedication, and we look forward to seeing their successes continue in the years to come.
