Dianne Forgeson

With over 40 years of experience in the legal profession, Dianne Forgeson is a dedicated practitioner known for her relaxed, friendly, and highly efficient approach.

Dianne’s expertise spans several key areas of law, including Property, Asset Planning, Commercial Law, and Dispute Resolution. Having completed Mediation for Lawyers (Parts A and B), she brings a balanced and solution-oriented perspective to every matter she handles. She prides herself on being a swift communicator, ensuring her clients receive sound, experienced advice exactly when they need it most.

Community service is a cornerstone of Dianne’s life. A 2023 Paul Harris Fellow, she currently serves as the Secretary of the Te Kuiti Rotary Club and has been a trustee of the Tynan Trust for 30 years. Her past contributions include roles with the North King Country Development Trust, Altrusa, and serving as a founding member of the Te Kuiti Women’s Refuge. To further enrich her practice and community connection, she is currently undertaking a Tikanga course through the Wānanga.

Dianne’s greatest motivation is her family, particularly her two daughters and grandchildren. As the daughter of immigrants who arrived in New Zealand with very little formal education, she takes immense pride in her professional journey she has built.  Outside of work, she enjoys reading, spending time with friends, and participating in her local walking group.

Kevin Forgeson

Kevin Forgeson is an experienced legal practitioner with nearly 40 years of practice and is also a Notary Public. He is dedicated to achieving positive outcomes for his clients and is deeply client-focused, prioritising clarity to ensure those he works with fully understand the legal advice provided. Known for his high personal standard of integrity and strong organisational skills, Kevin approaches every matter in a practical and logical manner, utilising his extensive knowledge to support both his clients and his colleagues.

Beyond the office, Kevin is a prominent leader in the Waitomo district and the wider community. He currently serves on the board of the local Community House and has a long-standing involvement with Rotary International. In 2022, he undertook the significant responsibility of serving as District Governor for Rotary District 9930, overseeing a membership of more than 1,400 Rotarians. His lifelong dedication to community service was formally recognised in 2021 when he received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Waitomo District Council.

Kevin is motivated by his family and finds inspiration in people who achieve their dreams in the face of adversity. An avid sports fan, he is a dedicated supporter of the Wests Tigers (NRL) and a MotoGP enthusiast who enjoys riding his own motorbike. He enjoys spending time with family, travelling overseas, and taking daily walks with his dog, Maddie, which helps him manage stress and stay active.

Kendyl Golder

Kendyl Golder focuses on simplifying legal matters for her clients by explaining complex issues in a clear and practical way. She finds great reward in helping clients navigate stressful legal situations, ensuring they feel supported, informed, and confident throughout the process.

 

Kendyl takes pride in managing each stage of a legal matter with organisation and precision, keeping her clients updated so they fully understand every step. Her goal is to provide meaningful assistance that helps people move forward with their goals and find practical paths through their legal requirements.

 

Kendyl joined Forgeson Law in April 2019 and continued with the firm through its merger with McCaw Lewis in April 2024. Outside of the office, Kendyl is motivated by her children and her desire to help people in a way that feels impactful. She enjoys spending quality time with her husband and kids, and she appreciates the relaxation of reading, cooking, and travelling.

Brieanna Rabbitt

Brieanna Rabbitt combines a friendly, approachable style with a firm and decisive edge when representing her clients. Committed to building strong, trusting relationships, she focuses on providing clear guidance and applying her problem-solving skills to every case. Brieanna’s path to the law was inspired by her personal childhood experience with the Family Court system, which gave her unique insight into the vital role lawyers play and fueled her passion for assisting families with compassion and clarity.

As the first member of her family to obtain a university degree, Brieanna takes immense pride in her professional journey. Based in the Te Kūiti office while living in Hamilton, she enjoys the connection between both locations and the rural landscape of her commute. Outside of work, she is an active member of the firm’s social netball team, enjoys spending time outdoors with her partner, and values quality time playing board games with her family.

Julie Saunders

Julie Saunders is a highly efficient member of the team with 27 years of experience at the firm. She thrives in a team-oriented environment and excels under the pressure of deadlines, using her strong time management skills to ensure every task is followed through to completion.

Outside of work, Julie enjoys reading, bike riding and spending quality time with her family.

Pam Pitcon

Pam Pitcon is an Estates Clerk with an impressive 38-year tenure at the firm. Her career began with a passion for typing, which evolved from back-room roles into client-facing secretarial positions where she discovered her true love for working with people. Pam brings a wealth of knowledge, exceptional organizational skills, and a meticulous eye for detail to every file she manages.

A specialist in financial accuracy, Pam finds great satisfaction in working with figures, preparing statements, and ensuring every account balances down to the cent. She is often the go-to person for colleagues needing assistance with complex trust account statements. She is motivated by the gratitude of those she helps and believes that clear, supportive communication is the foundation of a great client experience.

Outside of the office, Pam values a healthy balance between her professional and personal life—a perspective gained from her previous experience as a café owner. She enjoys creative pursuits that involve working with her hands, such as cooking, knitting, and card making. Family is a central part of her life, and she cherishes every opportunity to spend time with her granddaughter.

Jen McQuilkin

Jen McQuilkin is a valued member of the Administration Team, providing key support across both the Te Kūiti and Hamilton offices. In her role, Jen manages trust transactions for the Te Kūiti office while also supporting the Hamilton accounts team, helping to ensure financial processes run smoothly and efficiently across the firm.

Her responsibilities include overseeing deeds management, processing quarterly interest, maintaining accurate file management systems, and assisting with invoicing and client accounts. Jen also manages debtor accounts and supports the firm’s AML compliance requirements. In addition, she provides notary services and assists with a range of administrative tasks that contribute to the effective day-to-day running of the firm.

Jen particularly enjoys the collaborative nature of her role and values working alongside a supportive team across the firm. She appreciates the variety in her work and takes pride in playing her part in helping clients navigate important moments in their lives, contributing to the delivery of the best possible service and outcomes.

Azmon Houpapa

As the first point of contact for the Te Kūiti office, Azmon prides herself on her friendly and approachable manner. She is dedicated to making every client feel comfortable from the very first meeting or phone call, ensuring a welcoming introduction to the firm’s services. Azmon thrives on the variety of her role, enjoying the fact that no two days are ever the same.

Azmon is deeply connected to her local community and has recently joined a Kapa Haka Roopu within the Maniapoto area, a cultural journey she is excited to continue. She is motivated by a “moving forward” mindset, constantly looking for ways to progress and grow in her life and work.

Outside of the office, Azmon can usually be found on the sidelines of a field or court, cheering on her children in their various sports throughout the year.
